Sims Sunday: Not Much, Just Skillin’

This week Nostromo was invited to a party. The most interesting thing that happened was that at about midnight, after most of the guests had left, Nostromo decided to play the drums in the living room. She whipped out her drum kit and went to town.

The funny part being, no one seemed to notice or care.

Summer arrived, and Nostromo stopped by the festival grounds. First she helped herself to a shave ice.

Then she set up her guitar on the promenade and played for tips.

As she played, I noticed something strange. Someone seems to have abandoned a pudding pop.

ENHANCE.

Yep, that’s a pudding pop. Standing there on its stick like it’s watching her play. Weird.

I was mainly involved in getting Nostromo maxed out on drums, guitar, bass, and piano skills in order to fulfill her Lifetime Wish. To keep me occupied while she played for hours on end, I decided it was time to breed Autumn.

First, I had Nostromo give her a bath so that she would be pretty for her new beau.

Then I chose the goofiest-looking male dog available from the adoption agency. Meet Gogi, who seems to be a Great Dane/schnauzer mix or something.

A bout of doggie Woo Hoo happened.

And a few days later, three puppies were born. I named them Beyonce, Bingo, and Bailey.

As you can see, they are nearly identical. I chose to keep Beyonce for the breeding program, and adopted out the other two puppies plus Gogi. (His job is done.)

Meanwhile, Nostromo kept playin’.

  • Did you know you can upgrade umbrellas to be unbreakable? It’s a fairly quick upgrade, too.

  • Slager

I laughed out loud when I saw that white dog’s face.

Also: umbrellas!?! Man, I am way behind on the Sims expansions. :|

That pudding pop just cracks me up.

  • She keeps her drum kit in her pocket?

  • Are you sure that abandoned pudding pop was not actually being carried around by a ghost child Sim? Or are invisible ghosts not an option?

  • Erika

I’m sure! Ghosts won’t be invisible, but there is a common graphics glitch where NPCs fail to render, which makes them invisible for a few minutes. But in this case (I know it’s hard to tell from the pictures) the pudding pop is clearly standing upright on the floor on its stick, not being held by a Sim.

I could delete it with the moveobjects cheat, but I thought it was funny and cute, so I left it there. I wonder how long it will last?

  • Which expansion gives you the piano, drums, and bass?

  • Erika

I feel like it was the Late Night expansion pack? Since that’s the one where you can form a band with other Sims.

Have you been able to summon a meteor yet? You have to have full brain power. I like to do it in the middle of the Festival area when it’s crowded. It’s hilarious watching everyone run! Anyway, I thought I would share my absurdly ugly dog Sheba. She is Independent, Hyper, Loyal, Playful, Non-destructive, Noisy.

Ahahah, that dog is, like, MAGNIFICENTLY UGLY. Is it okay if I adopt her into my breeding program?

  • Mrs Doom

Yes! Absolutely! I found her in the pound long ago, AS IS! I have made NO adjustments to her! I had forgotten all about her until I started playing with one of my ‘my-main-family-is-getting-boring-why-not-make-another’ families yesterday. I hope you enjoy her to the fullest!
