Sims Sunday: Babies Galore

I began the week by taking Gayle’s suggestion and creating a Pekingese male to mate with Bellaboosh.

sims sunday

It didn’t take long (because I used cheats to boost their relationship) before there was doggy lovemaking going on.

sims sunday

And a few days later, Bellaboosh gave birth to three puppies who looked disappointingly just like her. There was one female, which I named Hazel.

sims sunday

And two males, which I named Filbert (right) and Walnut (left; thinking about hot dogs).

sims sunday

I uploaded all three of them to the Exchange, if you have Pets and would like to adopt them:

Hazel
Filbert
Walnut

Since the house was getting crowded, I adopted out the Pekingese plus Filbert and Hazel to random neighbors, and kept Walnut. He seemed like he would be the strangest looking of the bunch. But he grew up to look… indistinguishable from his mother. Disappointing.

sims sunday

I have grown enamored of the floppy ears, though.

sims sunday

Summer turned to fall. Davina raked up the leaves in the yard into a big pile…

sims sunday

Then set fire to them. I thought it was unwise, but I made her do it anyway. (Nothing happened, but I bet their neighborhood smelled lovely.)

sims sunday

Meanwhile, Davina had gotten knocked up again. (Miles’ Lifetime Wish is to raise five kids from babies to teenagers. I thought they had better get on it!)

She went into labor right in the middle of North’s birthday party.

sims sunday

And so we welcome baby boy Nero and baby girl Nora to the world. Total chaos.

sims sunday

After that was all sorted out, everyone left the party after the birth, leaving North to grow up all by herself alone in the kitchen.

sims sunday

Later in the week, both Miles and Davina grew into Mature Adults, which meant that it was time for both of them to have a Midlife Crisis. I decided to try and fulfill as many of their Midlife Crisis wishes as possible. (You get extra points!)

Miles had a wish to move to a new home. Their old one was getting cramped anyway. I picked out this lovely spread.

sims sunday

The first thing that happened was that Miles got struck by lightning out on the beautiful tile patio.

sims sunday

(He was fine, though.)

The house had tons of room for everyone. Bellaboosh ignored the multiple dog beds I laid out, in favor of sleeping on a couch and dreaming about turkey.

sims sunday

Next, Davina had a wish to get a makeover from a stylist.

sims sunday

She looks pretty horrified at the outfit the stylist chose. Can’t say I blame her.

sims sunday

It went so badly that she got a negative moodlet for “Bad Makeover,” which is hilarious.

Speaking of beauty salons, North could use a waxing. This is what life is like when you are a female teenage werewolf.

sims sunday

I can relate.

While Miles and Davina were bustling about fulfilling their wishes, North took over most of the parenting duties.

sims sunday

She’s a good kid. Even though she got into a fight at her prom and had a terrible time and had this weird picture taken.

sims sunday

Oh I love those winter sunsets.

sims sunday

Next, both Davina and Miles had wishes to “Flirt with someone else.” Despite (or perhaps because) they both had the Eternally Faithful shared moodlet, from having been together for so long.

I started by sending Miles out to the park. In addition to a random mime (??) he found this woman who seemed interested in him.

sims sunday

They flirted; she was interested; I hustled him home.

sims sunday

Next it was Davina’s turn. I picked out this Captain Picard-looking fellow who was standing around in a… tux?

sims sunday

She flirted with him, but he was not into it.

sims sunday

Doesn’t matter; she got her points anyway!

Have you had one of your sims stomp on a jack-o-lantern yet? Because it’s not a good idea to do that while it’s lit.

At least not if you dont want your sim running around in a panic looking for a shower.

  • what town are you living in again? That house looks lovely.

I’m guessing Walnut has some spaniel in him by the look of those ears. Funny, our Spot has a seam like that, too, from his multiple surgeries!

And he dreams about butter rather than turkey, but yeah, I’d say there’s some spaniel genes floating in those pups!

I wish that Bouvier des Flandres were one of the dog breeds in Sim Pets. (my last dog was a Bouvier). But then I would want them to include sheep and cattle herding as jobs for the dogs to do.

aimalyn, isn’t it beautiful? It’s Monte Vista, which has become my second favorite town so far (after Lunar Lakes).

I was a bit concerned about the party/birthing scenes – is that dog pee or did Davina’s water breaking?

  • Erika

I’m afraid it’s dog pee, I never did get those dogs house trained.

I’d like to play my game, but it keeps crashing. (I save every five or ten minutes)

One of my sims (Sherlock) got abducted, and cried when they brought him back, but apparently he didnt get impregnated.

Wish they’d come up with a fix for the crashing.

  • Erika

My game has stopped crashing, for the most part. But I also haven’t been able to play it logged in online for weeks. If people are sending me presents, I’m not getting them, sigh!

I neeeeeed EA to come out with an expansion pack that includes parades. It’s Mardi Gras time, here on the Gulf Coast (New Orleans made Mardi Gras famous but Mobile, AL was its BIRTHPLACE) and I want revelry and Society/Krewe balls in my game!

  • Erika

    That would be AWESOME!
