More of a doodle this week, really.
A terrible choice in pen and paper, from an artistic perspective. But the best choice, really, in that it was the only pen I happened to have in my pocket when I found myself thinking about barred owls with a few free minutes on my hands.
It’s always better to work with what you’ve got than to wait until “the right time” when you have “the right materials.” Because guess what? More often than not, that magical perfect situation never actually materializes.

awww he’s cute!
just got my kid Bears New Friend by Karma Wilson….just check out the pic. Love these little duders
I love him, love his colors and the strokes and his sweet sunny-side up eyes!
Barred owls make the most amazing noises in the middle of the night. I took my GS troop camping in Carnation, once in April, once in October, and both times we were treated to a 2 am chorus of WOOP!WOOP! WOOP!!! Brrrrrrrrrrr!!! By the end, I’m certain there was one sitting right on our cabin–it was very loud. From far away, they sound like coyotes yipping.
