You all know how much I love “Small Town Directions.” These are directions which reference things that are unlabeled, or which no longer exist, except in the communal consciousness.
Here is my favorite most recent example. This one literally appeared in our town newspaper, on the front page:
“[...] The base of Pioneer Park in the field where the deer hang out west of Maple Avenue.”
Stay tuned for… um, probably Thursday… when I check out one of the latest additions to our town: a yarn store/fiber arts studio/tattoo parlor. Not henna or temporary tattoos, either – the real thing!


















And it’s posts like this that actually make me look forward to the possible transfer West. I totally want to visit La Conner now just to see this place.
I’m trying to picture the window displays…
So you can only get yarn and fiber art tattoos here?
