It’s getting big enough that it’s becoming difficult to photograph. And it has outgrown its project bag, so I have to keep folding the whole thing up and putting it away in the drawer separately. (The cats are smitten with it.)
Technically, I should be working the final panel. The pattern gives you a shawl, which is basically just slightly wider than a scarf, and lays across your shoulders. It’s just long enough to pin together at the ends.
And while useful and perhaps sane, that doesn’t seem nearly impressive enough for the county fair. I mean, come on! If you’re going to knit an insanely rainbow-colored shawl in fingering weight yarn, you might as well make it long enough to serve as a proper scarf. Go big or go home, is what I’m saying.

EPIC! And rainbowy! And magical! I do look forward to your county fair knits, because they are always EPIC in some way.
So what are you planning to do? Make it longer? Edge it in lace? How much yarn do you have left or are you planning something in another skein? I can’t wait to see what you figure out.
I think you can just keep adding on triangles, and eventually it will curl up on itself, but it should be reasonably scarf-like. At least enough for the fair, anyway!
I have sooooo much of this yarn, that’s part of why I decided to keep knitting. I have 2 full skeins, and so far have only used half of one skein.
Oh, definitely keep going! You’ll want at least one more blue section, anyway.
I haven’t made much progress on mine. Too many things to do this time of year…
Yes, those long summer nights are lovely, but they do get tiring! I will be sad to see the daylight hours getting shorter, but the other day as I was out doing yardwork at 8PM I found myself cursing the fact that it was still light out, thus robbing me of an excuse to give it up and go inside!
