Sims Sunday: Touch And Go

One thing about the Showtime expansion pack, it results in a lot of townies in some seriously bizarre performing outfits. Here’s the worst (best) one I saw this week:

And what is up with that skin tone? It makes me wonder if she’s related to The Simpsons.

Last week, Brock Hollingsworth was the proprietor of a private club downtown. This week he randomly switched to the Criminal career track, and this woman is the club’s proprietor instead.

That’s the look she gave Fern when Fern used the “Have you heard of me?” interaction. I guess the answer is not just “No” but “Hell no.” Ouch.

Hmm, no Brock. Oh well, no time: Fern had been invited to a party that was about to start. She showed up at the house, only to find that… she was the only guest.

Awkward.

She passed the time by performing magic tricks for the hostess.

After a while, the hostess got bored. So I had Fern invite Brock over. Even though it was pretty late for a Sim, he showed up. They spent a while making out on the hostess’s doorstep.

Then they sat and watched the stars on her front walkway.

Fame (FAME!), I’m gonna live fore-e-ever!

The next day I decided it was time for Fern to pop the question. I picked the perfect spot, a romantic secluded location: an odd little beach that isn’t really property, but your Sims can go there anyway.

I sent her, and then invited Brock, and got the camera all set up, and started the proposal.

AND THEN SOME RANDOM SIM WANDERED OVER. Hello! Miss? Do you mind?

It was a super romantic moment. If only that Sim wasn’t ruining it.

Oh, hello. Nice to meet you. WHAT THE HELL.

I decided to take a shot and hold the wedding at an off-site location. Haven’t had much luck with those in the past. But the beach in Starlight Shores is so pretty, and the timing for the sunset was just perfect!

The wedding was scheduled for 6PM, but the groom didn’t show.

I parked Fern near the wedding arch to wait.

Finally at about 7:30, Brock arrived on the lot and RAN over. (You BETTER run, buddy!)

I don’t know if you can see this, but his formalwear outfit includes spandex pants and pointy-toed shoes.

The groom complained about being hungry. As you do, when you’re standing at the altar. “Let’s hurry this up, I’m hungry.”

But finally they exchanged rings!

And there was much rejoicing, among the guests who had stuck around long enough to see it.

I had them honeymoon right there on the beachfront property, in a hot tub I placed off to the side, just for them.

How romantic!

Also they made a baby together.

Then they watched the sun rise over the ocean.
