I clocked my first finished knit on January 1st. This was so satisfying that I think I’m going to make it A Thing. Get something just a few rows short of finished at the end of December, then hang onto it just in order to finish it on the 1st.
I like this sock yarn (Red Heart “Heart and Sole”) but I didn’t exactly fall in love with the colorway. Which has the irritating name “Razzle Dazzle.”
Was I razzle dazzled by the inclusion of olive green along with fuchsia and neon orange? I was not.
2012 is already shaping up to be a pretty good year. Lotsa stuff in the works I don’t want to talk about yet. One thing I can talk about is that I’m part of the Sweet Shawlettes blog tour, which will be happening on the 15th. (Sims Sunday will be postponed that week until Monday the 16th.)
So many great designs in this book – and you all know how I love a good cowl. I have already ordered yarn for one of the projects, it’s waiting for me right now at the post office. But the post office is CLOSED for the HOLIDAY, which I think we can all agree is SO UNFAIR because I WANT MY YARN.

Oooh, you are now Officially Famous if you are on a blog book tour. One word of advice, though: no matter how sorely tempted you are, do NOT break into the post office to fetch your yarn. Federal offense, you know…
What’s a blog tour?
Go, you! Fast company you’re traveling in, there. 8)
The socks will be perfect chicken-feeding wear, ya know. Chickens love happy socks.
Yeah, what’s a blog tour? The link takes me to a list of blogs and dates. Are we supposed to visit each blog on the specified date? I don’t get the point.
Trifarina (update – and Franz!), a blog tour basically a book tour, but instead of regular bookstores, it’s from one blog to another.
