Before I forget, last Friday I managed to successfully capture 11:11:11 11/11/11!
I finished knitting the orange Koolhaas hat this weekend. There are several things I would change next time.
- I would do the initial ribbing as twisted rib (ktbl).
- I would probably use the larger needle size on the ribbing, to compensate for the twisted rib being tighter than the regular rib.
- Start on the 2nd row of the pattern, so that the ribs flow into the cables.
- And alternate the cable crossings so that the cables weave in and out, instead of the left-tilting cable always being on top. (Or “traveling stitches” if you prefer.)
The inside has a honeycomb pattern that I never would have predicted, looking at the outside!

ooh, the inside is as interesting as the outside!
Koolhaas is reversible?! Kool!
totally reversible! I wouldn’t change a thing, that is, if I could do it
