The first thing any prospective adventurer needs to do is learn how to Zeneport. Once you get to level 5 Martial Arts skill, if you meditate for a few hours, you can instantly transport yourself to any location. Very convenient!

First we went to China. Which, I have to say, is a very pretty world.

One thing you have to do in order to be successful at adventures is take on assignments. We got a string of assignments that involved boring stuff, like talking to people, and running around collecting minerals.

(I wanted to say, “Look man, if you need two pieces of lapis lazuli so badly, go get them yourself!”)
You can only stay in each world for a few days, depending on your visa level. So within three days we were back at Hidden Springs. This gave me a chance to run around collecting copper ore in order to smelt it and bring it back for some guy.
Way way up on the side of a mountain, I discovered a pretty nice view of Hidden Springs.

Honestly I expected more pretty views out of this new home world. Oh well.
Time doesn’t move on your home world while you’re away on vacation. But still, I imagine the others spend a lot of time eating pancakes. They’re such bad cooks, it’s pitiful!

It’s pretty much leftover pancakes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
When you finish a vacation, the game makes you stay home for a few days. During that time, Alec’s baby boy was born. It was late, and I had forgotten to come up with a B name. So I gave him the first B name that came to mind: Butters.

Welcome, baby boy Butters Alphabetti!
And then we were off to Egypt.

Egypt has a lot of great tombs, but you have to watch for the floor traps. Oops, I set my Sim on fire!

Don’t worry, he was fine.
By the way, what is with all the broken crap you collect while adventuring? I have broken pottery, dive well fragments, broken sarcophagus fragments… not to mention all the random statuary, canopic jars, pottery vases… good grief, it’s like a hoarder’s dream.
Back at home, I fiddled with Alec’s hair color because I was bored.

I think the black goes better with his skin color, but I’m not convinced about the white frosting on the tips. It was funnier inside my head.

First: Alec is my husband’s name.
Second: Some of the dive well fragments and such can be assembled into complete items which you can then decorate your home with. A dive well near your inventing/chemistry table can come in handy for fire accidents.
Third: the first thing that came to my mind when you said “Butters” was Doctor Waldo Butters, ME in The Dresden Files. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Dresden_Files_characters#Waldo_Butters
I thought you’d given him a tiara…
@Aimalyn – my thought exactly on the third point!
Dresden Files IS pretty awesome!
Just watched the news…stay safe!
Thanks! My aunt called me too… I was next door working on something, and by the time I got home, they had caught the guy. Nice to be blissfully unaware of things, from time to time!
I was kind of hoping you were blissfully unaware, but you were my second thought. I have a cousin who is a Stater out of Anacortes, he was my first. Glad to know for sure.
