I held a dual birthday party for both Alec and Felicity. This also ensured a good supply of leftover birthday cake in the fridge for many meals to come. (No one in this group is very good at cooking.)

Alec spent one last night sleeping alone in his childhood bed.

The next day they attended their graduation ceremony. I guess it ran long, because they both emerged graduated but famished.

I too often talk about rocks over dinner.

That night I tried to set up their marriage proposal at one of Hidden Springs’ nice vistas. But there was a tree in the way, and we missed the sunset because they kept dithering. And apparently this lodge has no exterior lighting, so the important bits happened in the dark. Le sigh.

The next day, they were wed! Alec and his childhood doll sweetheart.

I had plans for Alec – possibly dangerous plans – so before we left, I made sure Felicity got knocked up. I’m pragmatic that way.

My tomb exploration has been haphazard at best. I was kind of saving it “for later,” since you can only explore each tomb meaningfully once. But I realized it’s been almost two years since the World Adventures expansion pack. So why not go ahead and do that.

Alec is both Adventurous and Athletic, so he enjoyed learning martial arts.

And looting the priceless relics of another culture’s history! (Which the game encourages – nay, requires – you to do.)

We even scored a China gnome! (There’s one for each of the three countries.)

Then on his last afternoon, Alec’s martial arts practice was interrupted by an ominous chord and a pop-up message from the game. OMG! Meteor strike! I was beside myself with excitement. I have literally been waiting to see this for 2 1/2 years, since the game was released in June 2009.

Luckily the meteor strike had enough warning that I was able to send Alec out of the path of destruction. And what a path it was! The meteor hit with a KABOOM.

It left a pit in the property, and turned all the nearby objects into piles of scrap.

And flattened some random NPC, whose ghost is seen here at the upper right.

So awesome.
I didn’t get any video of the strike, but I did get some video of something else. Even after your Imaginary Friend is turned into a real person, they always have the ability to “Turn back into doll form.”
Here’s adult Felicity, strutting her creepy-ass stuff down the hallway.
(They don’t have any Romantic interactions possible in doll form, in case you were wondering. Yes, I checked.)

…Does the doll look different pregnant? Like, the strut mixed with the pregnant-Sim waddle? I’d pay to see that.
will her children be able to turn into dolls….
creepatastic
I guess a guy with a unicorn poster can’t be too picky about his girlfriends heehee
which expansion pack comes with the meteor strike?
I’ve only seen it happen twice in Sims Ambitions when I had a couple of firefighter sims and they had to respond to a meteor strike. Never saw the actual meteor, but the screen would shake and then the firefighter sims would get called out to respond to it.
This is so wrong! SO. WRONG. I can’t. Every time I see one of those dolls strutting around it makes my skin CRAWL. And it is VERY UN-RIGHT for them to always have the ability to turn back into a doll! YOU PICK ONE OR THE OTHER, YOU CREEPY LITTLE UNDEAD MONSTER.
Wow, meteor? That’s so awesome!
D
Poor NPC… but at least she has an awesome ghost
Can you do anything with the meteor? Smelt it? Make meteor medallions? (Or meteor chainmail – how cool would that be?)
Or is it just a big rock in a hole in the ground…
That doll is totally creepifying. Can’t wait to see the kids!
Those are all really good questions about the doll – I’ll keep them in mind and report back next week!
And I’m so glad someone noticed his unicorn poster! Isn’t it fabulous?!
Has anyone here ever used the “testingcheatsenabled true” cheat to Trigger Age Transition” to the Grim Reaper before??
I just did…twice…he was a Young Adult the first time, so he transitioned up to Adult, and now he’s an Elder. I’m not sure what will happen if I do it again…will he die? Or will another Grim Reaper appear? (oh, and he lost his cloak the first time, changed into a white t-shirt, black pants, and had a bandanna around his neck. Second time, he just switched to a white t-shirt…and he’s really really really dark black without the cloak on)
I’m afraid my game will go *boom* if I do it again.
