No sales on the 2nd day of the street fair, either. And no food on a stick! It turned out that the food vendors (the fair fare, if you will) were all upscale and stuff. Oh well, the county fair starts on the 10th. Much food-on-a-stick to be had, there!
I’ll tell you, though – I got a LOT of knitting time in! I finished the first Red Scarf (for the Red Scarf Project) on Friday.
This is just a basic brioche stitch. It took 2 skeins of Lion Brand Wool Ease in “Cranberry.”
Hmm, I had hoped that photographing it in dappled light would prevent that “digital cameras hate red” thing. Didn’t work. Oh well.
On Saturday I used up the third skein of Wool-Ease starting a Mistake Rib scarf.
Sure felt great to use up that stash yarn! But guess what? In order to use up all that yarn, I need to buy more. Ain’t that always the way?

looks like a purty red to me!

So true, Melissa! Who says plates are just for the upper class?
Hoity toity folk. Food on a stick sounds divine.
Isn’t brioche stitch fluffy? I knit up (what turned out to be a giant swatch) of cotton stash and it was positively plush.
