Here Is A New Thing

This is a project I have been working on since last December. And it’s finally ready for the world!

Channeltown Knitting

What is it?

If it was all poetry, it would be called a chapbook. If it was all knitting patterns, it would be called a pattern booklet. It has a poem and a knitting pattern (and more besides). Let’s call it a zine.

How big is it?

It is 8.5″ tall and 5.5″ wide, with 15 pages of content inside. It has a nice cardstock cover, and the interior pages are printed on 100% recycled paper.

What’s in it?

A knitting pattern, a poem, a centerfold pen-and-ink-and-watercolor journal sketch, a treatise on how to make the perfect grilled cheese sandwich, a visual guide to Kitchener stitch, a yarn review, and an essay on how to make big boring projects go faster. And more! (Where “more” is defined as “a title page.”)

Anything else?

Each one is signed by the author.

How much does it cost?

The booklet is $2.95. Shipping is $1 for addresses in the US and Canada, and $2 for all other countries.

Will you ship to my country?

In the 1st edition, the text for the last 2 Kitchener grafting illustrations should be reversed. Step 3 should read “Off as if to purl” and step 4 should read “On as if to knit.”
