Sims Sunday: Charisma Patrol

Life without electricity is surprisingly pleasant, for all of us. I’m not being constantly tortured by the sound of the TV or the radio or that one obnoxious video game. And they seem to enjoy puttering around, reading books, gardening, or playing chess.

A creepy vampire gnome appeared on the property.

Where do they come from? I suspect it might have something to do with the Plasma Fruit plant, which Adirim recently cultivated.

Ugh, it gives me the willies!

The life of a big-time real estate baron is not always an easy one. Your properties pay out on Monday at 8:30AM, and you have to actually visit each property in order to collect. I have to send out both Adirim and Chadrick, and it takes them all day to hit up every location.

I also fully upgraded one of their properties, the Butterfly Esplanade. When you upgrade a property (by buying or building the things the game tells you to), your property pays out more money.

I’m not exactly sure how I collect more money because I plunked down a bunch of picnic tables and hot dog grills, but whatever.

Felicity finished her painting! Aww! It’s hideous!

One down side to the off-grid life is that you’re limited as to what meals you can prepare. Basically it’s hot dogs or hamburgers on the grill, or a chopped salad.

But hey, what kid wouldn’t like a big plate of leftover salad before heading out to school in the morning?

I took another stab at befriending the other Alphabettis. They have moved into a huge mansion just down the hill.

When Adirim rang the bell, her sisters and father replied “We don’t know you. Please go away.” (How rude!)

Finally it was time for Felicity’s birthday. My little potato head doesn’t look very thrilled.

And by the time she actually grew up, everyone at the party had gotten bored and wandered off.

She tried chatting up her famous aunt, Ginseng, to no avail.

(Honey, I don’t care how famous you are – that top is doing you NO FAVORS.)

Now that Felicity was old enough, I could start her studying the Charisma skill.

I decided to give the poor drab little thing a makeover.

I decided to go with aqua hair and SO MUCH MAKEUP. (Now I just need to do something about those pants!)

For fellow players: I updated the house when Felicity was born. It now has two separate bedrooms (one on the 2nd and one on the 3rd floor), and I moved the kitchen to the 1st floor for better work flow. You can download it from the Exchange here.

Giver her a funky skirt or something. Definately something in a heel shoe if she wants to be famous

  • I love the fact that Felicity had to stand on a little stepstool to paint…
Maybe it was a vampire doll rather than a gnome. One of the vampiric Alphabettis leaving a little present for Felicity?

Can I just completely hi-jack your blog post, with news of my own Sims … Remember when you posted that the butler got a ‘strut’ from Woohooing with someone? Anyone who Woohoos off their own lot gets it. I’ve had a couple recently :D I’m desperately trying to marry off/partner up/knock up my peeps so that we can get a damn heir! There has been a fair bit of Woohooing in the lifts of other peoples’ apartment buildings.

My vampire Sim managed to get herself knocked up by one of her vampiric co-workers. Cool! Expecting a vampire kid out of this …. but the really newsworthy part was where she gave birth and immediately a red notification came up – town gossip that she had had a child out of wedlock! – followed by about TEN notifications that such-and-such was no longer her friend! Who knew that Sims were so judgmental!

PS they have a vampire gnome, too.

  • I very rarely give my sims TVs computers or radios because the noises are so annoying. Occasionally, I’ll drop one in for a bit and then sell it or put it in their inventory. Like a radio for a party or when I’m trying to force multiples and make them listen to kids music 24/7. The computer game is the most annoying though, I wish you could disable them being able to play it!

@Xeres Holy crap, that’s a seriously preachy town!
