It can’t really be almost the end of the alphabet, can it? I guess it can. Many people have asked what I’m going to do after the 26th generation of Alphabettis. Go back through the alphabet backwards? Abandon the legacy and just wander around town? The truth is, I have no idea.
Anyway! Once Triana grew out of her bald-headed teen phase, I decided to make her over like her namesake. Turns out I actually did a pretty lousy job, but whatever!
Although she definitely has the scowl down pat.
When she was a child, I decided to send her on the Private Investigator profession. I had her work on beefing up her logic skill, which is definitely a help.
Private Investigator turns out to be a kind of madcap profession. There are like five different things you can do to level up, and the game wants you to do them all at once right now GO GO GO GO GO!
I was really annoyed when her work outfit clashed so badly with her overall look. Those heels? No.
Here she is staking out the public library. Why? Because she wanted to, that’s why.
During the stakeout she learned something interesting. I sent her inside to file a report using the library’s computers. I have to admit, her work outfit looks okay from the waist up, anyway.
While Triana was busy investigating the neighbors, I was conducting my own investigation. Into the mystery of where the gnomes go!
Mysterious Mr. Gnome disappears once a day or so, and reappears somewhere else. With every gnome, there has been a time when I actually see him disappear – with a “whoomp” and a burst of light and everything.
But then I can’t find him!
He’s not in the fridge.
He’s not in the oven.
I even checked the laundry hamper!
Come back, gnomes!

My sims can do laundry now! Yay! altho, why they leave everything in the laundry bag I’ll never know. Laughed when one of the sims went to get the laundry out of the washer and she really had to pull to get the bag out.
I got Ambitions yesterday when my dad went to the Apple store to check out Mac Mini’s (he just gave me his aluminum iMac. I just gave my white iMac to my sister) Love the little bags with the Apple logos on them they give you at the Apple store. They make great little knitting project bags.
My game crashed just as the Ghosts in the house woke up. I need to send my ghost hunter sim after his grandparents and send them on their way.
I’ve had two or three Mysterious Mr Gnomes and the first one moved once but then stayed there, and the other two didn’t move at all! >:( And they’re definitely the right sort of gnome – I checked. Maybe it’s in the wardrobe?
I kind of like the striped stockings with the trenchcoat. Not a look I’d choose for myself, mind you, but…
Perhaps Triana’s next case could be an investigation into disappearing gnomes?
Emily – I’ve read somewhere that the gnomes have a habit of stopping moving and just staying stationary (a coding issue, not just a stubborn/lazy gnome).
Try moving him yourself and see if that gets him to go.
Thanks Wendy, I’ll try that
Wendy’s right – there was a bug in WA where gnomes would only move a few times, then stop. Sometimes kicking him and standing him up will work, too. It’s a bummer though, I agree!
