I know, no one cares about the chickens anymore. Told you this would happen! But here is some video anyway.
In between building the first and second chicken tractor, I kept the chickens busy by hanging bundles of dandelions in the brooder. Kimble makes a brief cameo appearance at the end.

And now, some non-pet-related news! Amazing! Did you know there is life aside from pets? Sometimes it is easy to forget.
A little while back, I was approached by the fine women behind Yarnbombing to submit a pattern for their upcoming book. The publisher Arsenal Pulp Press has put up a page about the book, which includes more information and a FREE PDF excerpt. Yarn Bombing: The Art of Crochet and Knit Graffiti will be available this September.

We have not had enough of the chickens!!!!
I am honestly more interested in the chickens than I am in the puppies. I’m not a big dog fan.
How old do they have to be before they start clucking? They still seem to be peeping here.
And now I’m beginning to wonder if chickens might be a way of solving my lawn-weed “problems.” (“Problem” in that I have a neighbor who keeps suggesting I hire a lawn service or spray poison chemicals on my lawn. The “problem” is more how to get her to shut up.)
Fillyjonk, I don’t know, but I’m curious about that myself! Yesterday I did hear one proper cluck from the box, but they’re still sticking with “baby talk” for now.
When they’re out in the yard, I do notice that they preferentially eat dandelions over grass. But it turns out that a lot of weeds are poisonous to chickens.
I too have not had enough of the chooks! Congrats on the pattern publishing, it sounds like a very interesting project!
I think you should put a web cam on the chickens!!
Chicks, pups, it’s all good. I like the $ stat box on the right. What will you do with all the eggs when you get them? Make a lot of omelettes?
I am not done with the chickens either! Moar chickens!
Cute vid…since I’m new to your cool blog, how does the cat like the chickens’ presence?
Aw, no, we can’t get enough “chick flicks”! I love Kimble’s “r they myn NAO? How bout NAO?” expression.
One never gets tired of chickies! We got 4 chicks just over a week ago. It’s fun to see where yours are now and what we can expect!
Oh, your shameless self promotion seems to have been accidentally eclipsed by the video…congratulations on getting published! I looked through the pdf, and it does look like an interesting set of projects.
The reasons blogs were invented: (A) Sims Sunday. (B) Chicken videos. All’s right with my world.
Viva la chickens!
There can never be enough of them (or puppies for that matter). I get so excited every time they appear bigger that I’ve actually dragged my boyfriend in on following them.
I love your chickens! Please keep on posting about them
