Frank came back from school, ready to hit the world running.
I had spent a lot of time bumping up his relationship with his girlfriend. That way, the first thing he could do when he got home was marry her and get on to the business of making babies.
Alas, it was not to be. Although she loved him, she rejected all of his proposals. She even refused to stay the night.
And with Sims, it’s never a polite “No thank you,” it’s always a BIG DRAMATIC REJECTION.
Next, I had him chat up a friend that his father Ernesto brought home from work. Frank and Bim Sell got along quite well.
But… where had I heard her last name before? Sell…. Sell… why does that sound familiar?
Then I remembered that Frank’s father Makoto’s “maiden” name was Sell. Meaning that Frank was chatting up his own aunt. GROSS. I shooed him away, and sent Ms. Sell packing.
I decided that for now, Frank would be a single parent. (With two live-in grandfathers to help out, of course.)
Frank phoned the adoption agency. They delivered a baby girl the next morning. I named her Garamond. Because I can.
Later that day, Ernesto aged into Elder. Makoto, of course, did not. Technically, Makoto is now a day younger than his son Frank.
“How come I’m old, and you’re not?” “It’s a long story. Keep dancing!”
Random Neighbor #7 wonders, “Is that cake for me?”
Yes. Yes, it is.

Where do the random neighbors come from? There’s no other house visible in any direction. Do they just teleport in when you’re not looking?
Garamond! You are a genius!
I need to name my three vegetable beds. I hope I can come up with something as creative! Maybe I’ll name them after TV shows or neighborhoods in Tokyo. Hmmm…
But isn’t Frank adopted? So what’s the deal about dating Makato’s sister? Did Makato and Bim recognize each other as related? Ernesto has friends?
Whew. I’m really relieved now that both my heir options got engaged at school. now to get them out of it. Nice that Makoto hasn’t lost his parenting skills. Nice to have a handy grandparent around. I’m betting Ernesto has been less than helpful.
“It’s a long story. Keep dancing!”
Snarfle snort guffaw
I am in chicken update hell, I NEED CHICKEN UPDATE, give me chicken update, or I will get my chicken elsewhere. And we dont want that do we?
[...] I wasn’t going to write up a blog post tonight, I was going to use one of the “Get Out Of Jail Free” cards which I mentally dispense to myself every week. But I wouldn’t want to cause Debi to seek her chicken updates elsewhere. [...]
Frank may be adopted, but it looks like he got all his charm from Daddy Ernesto…
Love that plant.
