It took me a long time to finally get a video that was worth posting online. I tried to get video of the chicks flapping, but they resolutely refused to do so. e.g. in one video clip, Martha simply waddled around my hand rather than flapping, and then she pooped.
There is no flapping in the following video, I’m afraid. Just their newest trick: I finally convinced them to eat out of my hand. It’s the exact same food that their feeder is filled with 24/7, but for some reason it’s more interesting when it’s presented in a hand.
It’s similar with babies, I guess.
A friend of mine has a 19 month old son, and ANYTHING she (the mother) is eating is automatically more interesting than whatever he may have in front of him.

Cute little things. I am well versed in that kind of frustration though. My cat will do something terribly adorable, and as soon as the camera comes out she clams up.
I love their little peeps. I can’t wait till our Buff Orpington chicks arrive! Living room peepers are so much fun.
