Chick Video: Your Wish Is My Command

You guys are making me wish I had a webcam! Maybe I’ll run out this weekend and try to find a cheap one, if I have a chance.

Until then, a video clip will have to suffice. The chicks are still a little leery of The Hand, so they huddled against the far wall when I reached in with the camera.

With no further ado, your Friday Cute:

  • May I suggest putting some cling wrap over it and just leaving it in there for a while so they’ll get used to it? :)

  • I have looked at your blog 100 times a day since the chicks arrived. Sorry about the bandwidth.

  • The peeping is what puts it over the top for me in the cuteness department.

Why don’t they make alarm clocks that sound like peeping baby chicks? That would be a much nicer way to wake up.

  • Chicks pip non stop if they are cold…If they are overheated they move as far as possible from the light and stretch out like a beach…babe (chick)

If they are just right, they usually scratch and sleep.

  • Hi! I love your little peeps! My hubby and I are thinking of getting a few little egg-layers. I’m loving checking your blog every day and seeing how adorable they are. I’ve already learned a few tips from you. Thanks!

Melting here. Cheeping chicks are the best. I want to grow wings to comfort them. That might be an overshare. Sorry.

  • I would be afraid of The Hand if it were larger than I was, too. Try putting food in The Hand — that may convince them that it is something to be charged in anticipation, not something to be feared.
