Another odd painting by Klango.
This week was all about whipping my little Sims to make money, so that I could continue building their house. With Olivia working at the science lab, Pascal climbing his way to the top of his musical career, and Klango painting a masterpiece every day, we were getting a pretty steady income.
But with the toddlers in the house, waking everyone up to be fed and changed, and their demanding schedules, everyone was getting stressed to the breaking point. Pascal couldn’t even stay awake long enough for the girls’ birthday.
Things got a lot better when the girls grew out of the toddler stage. The night after the party was everyone’s first decent night’s sleep since the babies were born.
With the kids going off to school all day, Klango had enough free time to start working on the garden.
He needs to grow more Life Fruit, because we ran out! And I don’t have any other way to keep him alive. I sent him back to the old Alphabetti house, to see if there might be some Life Fruit still growing in the garden.
Only Nick is left, and he is old. There wasn’t any Life Fruit growing, but he let Klango harvest sacks of money from the Money Tree that Mandy had cultivated, back when she was alive.
I had Klango prepare a nice Lobster Thermidor for dinner, as thanks.
But Nick took exception to Klango’s use of the kitchen, and kicked him out of the house. Whatever!
Back at home, construction is coming along nicely.
The kitchen is looking good, even if someone did leave a plate of rotting food on the island.
The entryway, with the dining room on the far side.
You can’t build a wall alongside stairs in Sims 3, which annoys me. It should have a solid wall on the far side of the stairs, not another railing. Oh well.
I’m pretty happy with the way the living room is going, as well. (I wonder if it’s starting to look familiar to anyone?)

are you building Buffy’s house? I always wanted to live there.
idk how you manage w/o cheats! I know its bad, and I dont like doing it, but I’m so used to the best stuff for my sims and all positive moodlets that I just cant stop! haha love ur posts, Aubree
Aimalyn’s got it in one! I started re-watching Buffy on Hulu last month, and I hadn’t realized how much I loved her house until I saw it again!
oh my gosh, it IS Buffy’s house! And there’s Spike’s tree out front. The kitchen looks exactly right. Awesome!
Hopefully you won’t have to replace the front windows as often as the they did on the show….
How about dealing some drugs? That would make the money roll in bigtime. (Can you tell I am knee-deep in watching DVDs of The Wire?)
I can’t wait to see the upstairs. Somehow the layout of the second floor of Buffy’s house always gets the better of me when I try to map it out in my head. And that weird little nook with the vase that I think is behind the stairs? So confusing.
I’ve been able to have a wall against my stairs. I can’t remember how, but if I do I’ll let you know.
Klango is my favorite living artist. I can’t decide if he’s sincere or a satirist. Maybe a little of both.
Could I request a gallery show of his entire body of works? I would even do the show catalog.
I found your blog via a post about getting rid of clutter on Fake Plastic Fish. You showed a photo of part of your 400 sq. ft. home. I fell in love with the little space and wanted to live there. Today I decided to see what was new on your blog and saw on it what I think was/were sims. Sims: I love it/them! What are/is they/it? Who are/is they/it? Everyone who left a comment on this post knows who/what sims are/is. I have no TV. Is this what is wrong with me? I need cultural help, please. I make a comment about your post because I am so overwhelmed by sims.
Why wait for blog readers to tell me what I need to know when Google can tell me right now?! And now that I know it, my heart has been broken because there’s as much chance of me understanding a computer game as there is of you moving out of your adorable 400 sq. ft. home so I can move in.
I love Klango’s paintings…
