Sims Sunday: Death and Science Fiction

Klango (who has the Artistic trait) reached Level 10 (the top level) in painting. Some of his master paintings look a little familiar!

(Whenever I think of Sunday Afternoon I think of Ferris Bueller.)

This one is rather striking. Odd, but striking.

Lorne’s childhood was unremarkable. He looked frightened at his birthday party…

… possibly because, due to an odd glitch, one of the guests was semi-invisible.

As a teenager, Lorne wanted to write a Sci Fi novel. I titled it “An Information Rich Plumbob of Light.”

Death came for Julie, at the ripe old age of 92.

Afterward, Death stuck around to tidy up a bit. He put some dirty dishes into the dishwasher.

And made Lorne’s bed for him.

Then Klango confronted Death and started yelling. I hoped it would turn into a brawl (who wins in a fist fight with Death?) but Death disappeared before it could escalate to that point.

Speaking of the afterlife, I decided that I want a ghost baby! In The Sims 3 you can marry a ghost, and even procreate. Once Lorne grew into a young adult, I started sending him to the graveyard to chat up the ladies.

He got pretty far with the ghost of Lonnie Dean; all the way to “amorous hug.”

But she bounced him when he tried for “first kiss.”

Ouch!

I had a ghost baby. He was a total surprise since I didn’t know that could happen (mom was alive and it just didn’t occur to me) and I freaked out. I had everyone in the household get their skills up so I could make Ambrosia and bring him to life. :P

  • Ghost babies sound totally creepy! And bringing them to life seems even creepier! But I can’t wait to see it :)

  • I finally saw my first ghost in TS3. Maybe I’ll have my spare heir strike up a relationship with a ghost. I have a similar glitch with my legacy family. One of the kids’ friends is nothing more than a floating face. No body, no hair.

  • Ghost babies?! I have got to get Sims 3 for my long flight to Japan next month.

  • The idea of Death cleaning had me on the floor!

  • Ryan, me too. Do you think he/she does windows?

  • Yeah, a tidying Death cracked me up, too.
That, and going down to the graveyard to flirt with ghosts…
