Curiosity got the better of me, so I sent Isabeau over to Christian Perkins’ (a.k.a. Swamp Creep) house. He wasn’t home, so Isabeau took the opportunity to rummage through his trash cans.
We didn’t find anything interesting.
Then Christian came home. And they started flirting!
It turns out that Christian is unemployed. So he isn’t a high school teacher. Just some creep who invited her over to his house when she was a high school student.
Christian also has a toddler, although apparently no spouse. The toddler was weirding me out! He kept sitting there thinking about himself.
Anyway, after a little more flirtatious banter and a make-out session, Isabeau got tired and went home. I gave her a day, to see who she’d prefer.
Since all of her wishes revolved around Gerry, I had her invite him over again.
He accepted her invitation(s).
By the way, the Sims 3 “spend the night” programming logic is a little whacked. Whenever I’ve invited a Sim over, they either complain that “you didn’t give me anywhere to sleep” (despite empty beds), or they sleep somewhere weird. Gerry slept on the patio furniture.
The next morning, Isabeau felt a bit sick. Tee hee!
What happened next surprised me. I had been looking for the “Move In” or “Get Engaged” options to appear on Isabeau’s action menu for Gerry. No luck there, but that afternoon the game gave me a pop up saying “Your Sims are getting along well, would Isabeau like to move in with Gerry?”
The game wouldn’t let teenage Iain be left alone in the house. Isabeau had to leave Helvetica behind, to take care of her brother. Here’s Isabeau’s new home from the front:
And from the back:
The game calls it “the Lessen household,” but I verified that Isabeau’s last name is still Alphabetti. When she arrived, she met Gerry Lessen’s sister, Cora Lessen, shown here with her newborn baby (whose name I didn’t write down).
Isabeau also met Cora’s son (Gerry’s nephew) Alejandro.
Alejandro is a very somber little boy. He spends most of his free time reading books.
Isabeau – now starting to show her pregnancy – is hungry all the time. Here she’s using their massive gourmet kitchen to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
She also gets tired easily. I could only find one bed in the house (!!) so I sent her to sleep in it. Check out the “Miami Vice Coke Lord” decor!
Classy.
I discovered that only Cora and Alejandro sleep in the main house. Gerry lives in the little carriage house on the corner of the lot. (Thank goodness – I was really starting to get worried about that one bed!)
It’s a humble house, “rustic” if you want to be charitable. But they’re happy together.
Unfortunately the carriage house is too small for a kitchen. I felt bad, watching a very pregnant Isabeau waddle back and forth across the huge lawn to get a midnight snack.
Soon it was time for The Blessed Event! Isabeau gave birth in the marble foyer of the main house.
Welcome, little girl!
I named her Jerboa. Which is sort of a combination of “Gerry” and “Isabeau,” and also amused me.

Yet another birth while wearing pants, it seems.
Will the next generation heir(ess) be named Kangaroo Rat?
And I hope Cora turns out to be helpful! It must be quite a pain to manage with a baby in that house. Is there even room for a cot?
This entry freaked me out a bit at first, since you never mentioned Isabeau’s birthday (that I saw, anyway).
Then I started wondering if a future generation heir will be named Muad’Dib.
Whoops, I forgot about the birthday. We had a confusing time when she had grown into a young adult, but Gerry hadn’t, so they couldn’t be romantic. That was when I got bored and had her make out with Swamp Thing.
Jerboa’s name is a killing word, but I’m not sure if that counts or not.
I laughed so hard when I saw what you named her because I’ve wanted one for so long! She might be one of my favorite Alphabetti’s now
