Sims Sunday: Cheaty McCheatersons

Helvetica is having a tough time. It’s hard to be a single mother with a demanding job! Her position as Medical Intern (Medical career track level 4) has long hours, 9AM-7PM Monday through Friday. At least she’s finally getting a decent babysitter.

Athena Doss will actually play with toddler Isabeau, and takes care of her needs before they go critical. I watched several babysitters just lie there on Helvetica’s bed daydreaming while the baby’s mood went from orange to red. Sheesh!

One day their television broke, and showed nothing but snow.

Posted for the anachronism of snow on a television.

Finally, Isabeau grew up into a child. Because Helvetica hadn’t had time to teach her the Big Three (walking, using the potty, and talking), I didn’t get to choose her new personality trait. The game assigned her the trait “Hot Headed.” Oy, what a tough one.

Now that Isabeau was a child, it just didn’t seem right to have her sharing a bedroom with her mother. Unfortunately, their trailer is so small that it has only one bedroom. And Helvetica may be earning §37/hour, but in a world where it costs §11 to make waffles, that doesn’t go far.

I gave up and used the “motherlode” cheat to fund a household expansion. Let’s just pretend that Helvetica got a big legal settlement. Maybe she slipped on pee pee at the Costco. Let’s just move on.

As soon as Isabeau graduated from toddlerhood, Helvetica had a serious wish for a new baby. Well, why not!

I had her order up a baby boy, who I named Iain. As soon as Iain arrived, Helvetica had a wish to quit her job. Join the club, lady.

Before the end of the work week, Iain had grown into a toddler.

A cueball-bald toddler, at that.

P.S. This seems as good a time as any to mention that Cute Overload is one of my few daily must-visit websites.
