The Apocalypse has not yet arrived, and therefore I have to do things like wash the dishes and go to the grocery store and oh yeah DAY JOB kinds of stuff.
Bo-ring!
I’ve been so busy in the last two weeks that I’ve barely had time to knit a stitch on the Mr. Burrito Commemorative Sweater. I’m working on it at a rate of about .75 rows per day, on average. So sad. It is roughly two inches longer than the last time you saw it.
Um… quick! Distract the masses! I made jam last night.
Did you know that jam is really easy? I mean it is if you don’t care about doing it the “real” way. If you’re fine with just freezing your jam until it’s ready to use, then jam is easy.
I bought 1/2 flat of local strawberries and 1/2 flat of local raspberries. When combined with a packet of Ball No-Cook Freezer Jam and 1 1/2 cups of sugar, delicious jam results.
(The bread’s a little wonky, but it’s still edible.)

My mom made hundreds of jars of jam and jelly in her life, but the very best was the strawberry freezer jam. Ironically, it was also the easiest. To me it tasted like fresh strawberries spread on my breakfast toast. Mmmmmmm!

This sounds really good! Thanks for the linky. I hadn’t heard of freezer jam before. I could have used it on all the strawberries I sinfully left to rot in my patch because I *couldn’t eat anymore* and had no time to do anything fancy. Next year, for sure.

BTW, I like the free-tagging, but I don’t get “cat-face bread”. Did they rub it? If you think it looked like a cat, then pix, or it didn’t happen.

Edible is all that really counts.

Wait, are the pointy parts at the top the ears? And the crack at the bottom a mouth? Ah.

that looks awesome. So does the bread, because you can tell it’s homemade!!
And welcome to the world of my knitting speed. Glacial.

The jam looks delicious, don’t worry the bread does too. Wish I had some…
