I made more yarn, and I don’t know why

I’m still chugging away on the Mass Effect sweater, the front is almost finished. In the mean time, it’s so much faster to spin yarn than to knit it. I spun up six ounces of Frog Tree Meriboo, which is a 70/30 blend of merino/bamboo in “Kiwi.”

handspun yarn

This was a beautiful-looking ball of fiber, so nicely combed and soft. But I had a lot of trouble spinning it. It was hard to draft, and I didn’t do a good job of making the singles even, so it came out kinda weird-looking on the whole. Oh well.

People keep asking what I plan to do with the yarn I have been spinning. I have no idea. I label it and put it in the yarn bins and that’s pretty much the end of my thought process, there. At some point I might start selling it off, just to make room. Who knows.
